This program is designed to create an opportunity for girls to play more competitive softball than is offered at the current recreational level. Open League teams are formed in the fall and commit to play together for the fall, spring, and are given right of first refusal to continue and play on the summer All-Star team together. Open League is only offered at the Pinto, Mustang, and Bronco age divisions. If Open league teams decide to participate in PONY All Stars, they may have to play in the Platinum level instead of the traditional All Star level.

DIVISION: 12U OPEN TEAM - HOTSHOTZ TEAM: Hotshotz ‘97 – Coach Burrel Hotshotz ’97 - {Burrel} is a 1st year 12U team looking for additional players to join our team for the up coming 2008 fall season and continuing into the spring season. We are affiliated with Town and Country Optimist club in NWAustin area. We are looking for several players for all positions. We strongly encourage girls, who want to compete at a high level of competition and very coachable to come out. We will play in 4 tournaments in the fall (all-local for now), but do want to travel outside the area to play in the spring. We will have 2 tryouts, the first being August 21, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and the second being August 23, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Town and Country Sports Complex on Field 8. The team finished their post-season this past spring by qualifying for National competition in their division. We are currently looking for an experienced pitcher and a couple of athletic players with the desire to play at a competitive level to round out the roster and have fun in a team environment. Smiles are welcome! This is one of three 10U Hotshotz [Open teams] at Town and Country.
